So my car is at the shop getting my OPG's and other stuff installed. They noticed that my water pump with 10K miles on it was showing signs it's seeping. I have posted a pic of it. What is causing the coolant to sort of gel up at the weep hole? They are installing a new one.

Have you ever added any additives to your coolant?

I think at one point I might have poured some coolant in when it was low and I think it was Dexcool.... Oops

Either way the coolant was drained out and pump was replaced.

I would have to verify, but I'm pretty sure DEXCOOL is compatible. Also, I would recommend a coolant flush to make sure there is not any more of that sludge/gel anywhere else.

It is compatible. The Motorcraft orange is pretty much the same thing as DEX-COOL.

Yeah so I'm thinking maybe the water wetter might have been the culprit

it has an engine!
Dexcool is known for gelling up. I prefer to use evans waterless coolant. Trumps water wetter and every other coolant ive used.

Nobody wanted to believe me but....Water Wetter is not a good idea. You are not the first person to use water wetter and have this happen.

I did some research on it last night after seeing the OP's problems. It looks to me that if you were running just straight water for coolant, then this stuff works well. Especially for its lubricating properties. But with any kind coolant mix, it causes some issues.

This is what I found about it last night:
