So im going to most likely hit my 3 year bumper warranty at the end of this year before my mileage hits the mark. Ive got an appointment July 15th to have them take a look at the tranny for some erratic things and check the fluid level. Also going to have them look at why my passenger window is delayed in going down when the door handle is pulled. I was looking for some insight into what else to have them check while its at the dealership.
The trunk sounds like there is a bolt banging around when opened and the right side of the spoiler has a little space where you can just see the double sided tape. Im thinking that bolt came loose and is living in the trunk lid, and its also missing a cover that lives under the spoiler on the same side.
The interior has a couple issues as well , im just not sure if they would define it as normal wear. The driver seat door side looks to have a bunch of wear, we're the seat belt rests on it. Also the the panel to the left of the infotainment area , think left side of the trans tunnel has some abnormal wear. If I was taller my knee might rest against it, but yeah im not 6'7".
So im curious if anyone has experienced any of this stuff or has any insight into if ford would cover this stuff under the warranty? I'm curious what everyone's thoughts or ideas are about coverage so I don't get my hopes up when I start pointing these things out to the dealer or if its something they should cover that I should escalate. It also helps so I can ask them to check some things before my warranty is up just in case. First car with a warranty , so i figure it might as well throw the book at them for stuff.
I also have no problem taking photos of the things mentioned as I actually have nothing planned this weekend (except for plumbing work sunday) anything that I can provide will help me with reporting issues to the dealer.
Also requesting any pictures of things in lue of having the dealer check them is also possible, wether it be above, below or inside. Except the shitty cargo net. Ive got to remove that horrid POS this weekend.
