How do you update through wifi

I'm wondering the same thing. I was under the impression that's not a feature on SYNC 2 but it is on SYNC 3 in the 2016's. [MENTION=12175]Khyber[/MENTION], any info we are missing here?

You can't, the guys that said that were just being the typical unhelpful forum guys....SYNC 3 evidently can, as I said, I figured out the issue, and asked for Mods to delete the thread, I guess they decided to change the title instead...

If you want it to update on the website as far as reporting your version, run a VHR (vehicle health report).

Is the screen any different? I just updated mine, but I don't recognize a difference. On a video, I saw that on the top left it says "siri" but I don't have that!

When you are on wifi it acts like you can select update, sure it may have been unhelpful but an idea none the less. Can we include the hit "control-alt-delete" guy in the unhelpful category as well. lmao.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for MFT to update wirelessly....simple answer is it hasn't. Why do you think it has?

Hey Socalmustang,

Siri will now display in the top left corner when being used. You will still see the word PHONE when she is not active. Other than that everything is the same.

What you may have seen is PERFORMING SCHEDULED SYSTEM MAINTENANCE which is displayed when MFT reboots. The only way to update SYNC is from our website via USB flash drive or during a visit to your dealer. I recommend checking you SYNC account for available updates: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html
