October 1st build here and zero transmission or alignment issues. I went over the entire car inside and out and the only issue I found was a small amount of thread poking out of the back of the drivers seat in the map pocket. Pair of scissors fixed that and no other issues.

Mine is great. No issues what so ever. There are Mustangs in every dealer now. You should go look for yourself.

I have a job 2 Mustang and it doesnt have any of these issues
Same here. My car is really perfect.

Keep in mind, the users on this board are a very small subset of the Mustang owners out there. IF you want the car or need the car, do yourself a favor and go buy one.

I have had mine for 7 weeks and am still in love with it. The people just gawk at it, ask questions about it, etc.

I had a 70 year old man come up to me after he was done pumping his gas and ask what "hot engine" did I have in my new Mustang. I had just gotten my Roush Axleback installed about 3 hrs before.

I just had some random 65ish something guy driving an old Sebring vert ask me about my car, complimenting its looks and whatnot. This car attracts all kinda of people you wouldn't expect. I love it! Totally open to the attention.

Zero issues with mine as well. I'm always looking for an excuse to drive it more than any other car and 2 previous cars were a BMW with M package and a WRX.

It certainly does. When my wife goes for a ride with me, she is always amazed at how many people are staring at it. Or if we get out somewhere and people want to come look and chat about it.

I play tennis (Atlanta has the worlds largest organized adult tennis organization...90,000+ strong) and we have our mixed doubles matches on Sunday's. After our match 2 weeks ago, I went out to get something from my car and ended up moving it right behind the courts at the club as the corner spot opened up. I ended up taking questions and giving a tour of the car to 5 guys for the next 30 minutes. The ladies on our team made fun of me....Men and their toys:cheers:

My advice;

Spend less time on the internet, go to dealer(s), and look at the panel fitment of the cars on the lot. Don't worry about the desk jockeys and boys crying wolf all day long. Go find out for yourself what you think about the assembly quality of these cars. Drive a couple different ones if you can and feel for yourself how they shift, what they sound like. Are they hard to shift? Does it sound like a grenade with the pin pulled? Or no, everything is fine after all.

So yeah that's all I have to say about that.

Whatever you do, I hope you find the right course of action for you.
I totally agree with the above statement! Good luck and have fun! :ford::ford::ford:

Well all I can say is this...

2015 = 50 year anniversary model.

Next one is 25 years away.

Your move.

You've gotta be smiling from ear to ear when that happens. :D

I can't wait to get this car fixed so my conversations are no longer me having to explain that I didn't rear end someone every time I get to a gas station haha. :doh:

But all these postings of panel alignment problems ,manual transmission problems etc are giving me second thoughts.
What should I do?
Put on your big boy pants and place your order. Don't let your life be ruled by fear, uncertainty, and doubt. I ordered mine long before anyone had even seen a convertible, and it worked out spectacularly for me.

You have to remember that the Mustang is a bit more of an enthusiast car, and in this day and age, a lot of enthusiasts go onto websites and forums to talk about their cars. By that regard, proportionally the Mustang is going to have a larger percentage of the worldwide owners on websites talking about them than something like a Honda Accord. As there are more people online talking about them, of course you're going to hear more issues about them than plain commuter cars. I'm sure if you go onto any other forums for pretty much any other model of car, there will be complaints here and there...even "the best" like Mercedes, BMW, etc. Of course some of the forum mods on those boards delete some posts about car quality issues...

My 2 cents; order the car. A 2015 job 2 car will have fixes to things they learned about on job 1 and on the line they will have figured out the nuance of the build. It's still the 50th anniversary of their flagship car and they (Ford) want them done right. Once they start on 2016 things will turn towards cost savings. They may add new options, but they will also begin the search on how to save 50 cents on every unit by using three fasteners instead of four, or replacing aluminum with plastic.
However, it is your money and your ride...

Just buy the car!

Issues have been reported but have you read any updates from owners?

As far as I can tell, most people are very happy with their ride and most issues have been resolved.
