Just noticed this the last day or two. Watching the voltage reading, it moves around quite a bit. Virtually every car I've owned when running parks you at about 14.4 volts and stays there.
My Mustang at first startup, will be around that, sometimes going up to 14.6. But it then settles down to about 13v. I've seen it as low as 12.6, but it will fluctuate as you drive.
Now, does this come down to an intelligent alternator that only charges when necessary or is this an issue I should be pointing out to the dealer?
