Vmp gen 2

Any vmp guys on here? I can buy a brand new gen 2 from a local guy. Only problem is that it's for a 14. I See vmp has a retro fit kit, so I would get that. It'll be cheaper, obviously, then buying it from vmp. Should I do it? What should I look for when checking out the package? Thanks in advance

Depends on the deal, and if it comes with ID1000's and a quality bap, as well as an sctx4 or ngauge. The kit is fine, will make great power, upgrade to the twin 67's, Roush cold air, 79mm pulley, and get a Ken B tune, 650+.

Ya it comes with 72 lbs injectors, "pulleys", jlt intake (a Roush would replace this with the retro kit) ford racing throttle body, coil covers, intercooler, dual fans and a tune.

You're already limiting yourself with 72lbs injectors if you ever plan to go E85.

I plan on installing it myself, which I understand is a bit of an undertaking. My car will have the manual, 3.73s. Running 275 nitto invo's. If anyone would suggest not doing it that'd be great.

That's what I was worried about. I was planning on getting a procharger or Paxton but saw this.
