VLAND TAIL LIGHTS HELP

Hi

I've recently fitted the VLAND 5 MODE tail lights fitted them and can't change the mode looking online the 5 modes come with a 3rd brake light and US to EU adaptors .... I have a US LHD S550 Mustang here in the UK but when I bought the lights unboxed them all I got was the two lights no adaptors no 3rd brake light which is required for the car being a US model with US wiring.

Does anyone have a photo of the harness to compare and show me the wiring layout for 5 mode I'm concerned I've been sent the basic Vland lights as they can't change from the red sequential they do not seem to be the 5 mode ones I paid for .... VLAND customer service has been awful.

I've attached a photo of my plug harness and the harness I see on the 5 mode can some one confirm if I've received the wrong lights from Vland .. If someone has a clear photo showing the plug wire locations that would be brilliant

I don't know if you've ordered specific for a US car, but if your car is US then the adapters shouldn't be needed - however you should have gotten the yellow wires with the set, which is shown in the picture "Plug & Play. No Rewiring. These are for connecting the 3rd brakelight.
There is no 3rd brake light included in the kit - you use your stock one.

I also have the same set (mine is just smoked) and I got both the adapters for the EU and the yellow wiring harness for the 3rd brakelight - however my car is a EU model and the harness is not needed.
I haven't got my car yet but I did reprogram my tail lights while they were on my table while testing the lights with a 12v power source so you can program them that way

I've managed to get a third brake light cable from an EU vland user who didn't require the cable ... my issue is there is no yellow plug in cable coming from the harness as shown on the plug on the 5 modes my biggest concern is weather the lights I received are actually the non 5 mode cheaper ones.

I really need to see a photo showing where the 3rd brake cable meets the harness I can't seem to find anything online that will tell me if I have the wrong lights here or not

Good! I was about to offer you my harness for just the shipping but great that you've gotten your hands on a set!

I've taken a picture of my plug and there is a lot of difference compared to yours!
Take note that this is of the plug coming from the taillight and not the adapter plug, so the same plug as you have pictured. The wires are the same colours but placed differently.

The connection to the 3rd brakelight is connected to the yellow wire as shown.

il have a go at wiring it to match and see if I'm able to change the modes fingers crossed they are the 5 mode and I can get them working

BLACK: GND
RED: Turn signal
YELLOW: Brake light
GREEN: Tail light
BLUE: No effect - I think it might be a signal line back to the car.
WHITE: No effect - Might be a signal line too but it is not to be found in the EU spec plug and is US only

Thank you mate I've tried wiring the lights to the plug identical to your harness plug which seem to work but the indicator middle bar doesn't flash but the outer and inner bar do but in reverse strangely .... that was completely the same as yours with the third brake light wired in to both light harnesses ...

I've tried it back to how it came with the 3rd brake light wired in to the yellow wire location but that was real strange the light was indicating correctly all 3 bars but was causing the other lights middle bar to flash !!

I tried the mode change both times and got no change still so I really think these are the non 5 mode lights I've been sent out just hoping it's not an issue with the cars wiring now.

I'm having the same issue. I just received mine and there was no adapter included and no plugin on the lights.TThe harness looked exactly like the harness on my 2020 GT350. No mode switch. I'm going to call my supplier first thing Monday as this is not what I ordered.
