After seeing several scattered threads about this subject I decided to try it out for myself and document the process. If I missed a consolidated guide already created, I apologize. Here are my results
Step 0: Beer (optional, but recommended)
Step 1: Remove cover with flat head screwdriver or similar thin, blunt tool
Step 2: Using pliers (possibly aided by that thin, blunt tool), squeeze pin/clip together and pull visor mount out
***CAUTION: Don't let the metal clips fall back into windshield towers. This happened to me and they are a pain to get back out. ***
Step 3: Disconnect electric connection with a small tab and remove visor from car roof
Step 4: Using a hair dryer or similar heat gun, heat up sticker. I found that it works best to start in a corner and heat the area in front of where you're going to peel for a few seconds first, then heat underneath as you peel. ***CAUTION: Don't burn yourself***
Step 5: Don't be shy with the heat but also don't set your visors on fire. Heat & peel an inch at a time or so. The end result will be significantly less noticeable than this under normal light conditions (these pictures were taken with a flash)
Step 6: Reinstall visors. First, reattach electric connection, then remove clips from the ceiling of your interior and push them through the brackets of the visors. Once they're in, push the entire assembly into the hole in the ceiling of your interior, taking special consideration to get the rough edges of the fabric under the plastic bezel of the visor.
Step 7: Push plastic clip cover piece back in and enjoy! Ugly airbag stickers begone!
If there is still adhesive after peeling off the sticker, first try to reheat the fabric and rub it out with a dull metal or hard plastic object (be careful not to rub a hole in your fabric). If that doesn't work, Goo Gone and a carpet brush can also help.
Hope this helps!
