Hence the difficulty. Who knows what drag effects are messing with the car? Underbody ripped up from a rough winter? That affects acceleration. Got a couple of 40 lb bags of rock salt in the trunk? That affects acceleration (hopefully can take those out now that it's getting warmer...). Tires overinflated? That affects gearing. Road surface uneven? That affects acceleration. Just drank a big gulp? That affects acceleration.Have been using Vdyno along with real dynos for years now. The software when used correctly (just like an in-ground dyno) has repeatable results that are very close to real power. It uses the rate of acceleration of the car, weight, gearing, and frontal surface area to determine power output. That means you have to input these factors correctly and make sure you are logging on a flat straight road without major head or tail winds and no wheelspin.

I actually beg to differ. I used Vdyno a lot back when I had my Mazdaspeed3. I loaded a log into Vdyno a couple days before I went on got on a dyno and it gave me 296hp/36x. Actual dyno results were 293hp/34xIt is in no way accurate.
Exactly. My figures were within about a +/-10 range on both horsepower and torque.I actually beg to differ. I used Vdyno a lot back when I had my Mazdaspeed3. I loaded a log into Vdyno a couple days before I went on got on a dyno and it gave me 296hp/36x. Actual dyno results were 293hp/34x
I consider it very accurate as long as you have all of the correct information loaded
Did you just ask for this on the FB EcoBoost group? Lol. I'll get you mine when I get back home, if you haven't gotten them already.need the numbers for the EBM. drag, gear ratios, etc. they still don't have the 2015 in there
