There is a website that can give you personal info based on a registered taq and will give you address off the registered license plate or tag.. Some even give the vin and vehicle description as . Well... the more detailed reports cost a little...

I would have to think the dealers play a roll in the order process. Your dealer may not have offically sent in the order knowing that the presolds will be built after the dealer stock orders. Six months from now we won't remember anything about our orders anyway. We need to take our chill pill and be patient.

Still don't understand the process.....I ordered at 0845 on 5/20 and no VIN.
They stopped scheduling Mustangs until next month. It appears there are over 11000 scheduled so far. That translates into about 4 per dealer on the lot by 1 Oct. You know Hertz wants a ton also, right. I understand everyone's thought process is the enthusiasts should have the first cars so they can help sell more right? Well, in marketing if you don't have product to sell when the other consumers are showing off their toys, people get itchy and want to buy the same shiny object. If there is none at the dealers lot, they will be no doubt be close to another dealer with bright and shiny cars who have something they can buy right away. Your Mustang, just sold a Camaro, and we don't want that happening. :ford:

Makes sense but are you saying that our custom orders are now being pushed back?? I thought we were to get them late Sep to early Oct?? Are they now coming later?

Not saying when or if they are pushed back, just saying they are not scheduling anything for the next couple of weeks. Job one isn't for a few weeks, they are scheduled out now until the third week of Sep. Your custom order gets scheduled when they make the car the way you have it optioned. Cars are made in like lots to speed production, if yours is popular,it may get scheduled quick, or if you have a request for something that doesn't show up (a special wheel or seat) in will go into hold for that commodity. It could take a few months to even get it scheduled. Most orders are done very quickly, but I've seen some track out for months because their priority was too high. If your priority is low, and your dealer gets an allocation, it will be sooner than later.

Makes sense, so has anybody had a scheduled build date with the 20" wheel option?
