VIN # !!!

400A placed order 5/26 and received VIN on 6/17. Build date is 8/18 and word from my dealer is late August early September.

Has anyone that has ordered an ecoboost received a VIN yet?

Any ecoboosts show up in cotus?

I haven't had any luck yet....

I ordered an ecoboost on 5/20 and received my VIN on 6/26. It does not show up in cotus because it was ordered as part of the dealer stock, but it does how up in https://www.etis.ford.com/. Build date was told to me by the dealer, but that date doesn't show yet in ETIS. Order details in my signature line.

Love the simple decoder, thanks! I had used souprmage's post of http://jalopnik.com/5165656/how-to-read-a-cars-vin to learn about VINs, but your link breaks it down for me. Now I think it will be easier to memorize :faint:

Ironically, I stumbled on it by following links from that Jalopnik article. I was trying to figure out if there were any clues in the VIN tied to specific options. Really, it's motor, style and safety equipment, that's it. I was hoping that the last 6 digits had some kind of significance, but it really doesn't, at least to us.

Were the hell in Mullinax Ford NSB? Lake Park, FL north of WPB or Orlando? You also failed to mention they don`t charge a "penny" for Dealer or Doc Fee`s with or without X-Plan. Most other Dealers charge the allowed $100 X-Plan Doc Fee.
