The only problem i see with this is some one that orders in june or july will probably get their car before i do when I ordered on may 20th.
If it makes you feel any better, you will certainly take delivery of your 2015 Mustang Fastback before any of us get to drive home our 2015 Mustang Convertibles, just saying.......

Speaking of MY. Anyone know if Ford will go back to MY change over in the spring? My thoughts are very possible. That would screw all of use who order 15's and would get them with only 4 to 6 mos before a 16 shows up. Manufacturers do this a lot. Especially since this car is obviously late. If we can find this out I will cancel mine and wait. Way too much risk with depreciation on a car that already drops like a rock.

The car is late. The last gens were coming out every spring. Therefore this one should have been out same time. Having a car like this come out in late fall in volume is a mistake. See all the posts of customer orders including my own with no vin or build date and it's July. Stock orders are already pushing into September. I'm sure this was not their plan. Sales will be soft until next spring. Put it in your calendar.

The car is NOT late. Anytime there's a big model change , they also release it later than normal schedule to a) build up the hype and b) have enough time to move the older model.
The 2005 models didn't hit showrooms till VERY late Septrmber/Early October.

How is Ford screwing you over? You want the 2015 which is 50th anniversary model , then get it now. You wanna wait for 2016 , you definitely have that option available to you. The real question is why would it make that big of difference down the road if you have a 2015 or 2016 model ?

MY refreshes usually take place in the spring, when there is major line shifts. I think FRAP has a shutdown scheduled this fall, most likely to start the convertible line and start international lines as well. Being the 50th year, I think it will drag out to next summer at least. The 16 and 17 MYs will just be small updates, especially if they hit a home-run with looks and performance on this car. In the out model years, look for the SVT and different appearance packages showing up.

Production start-up for the 2005 Mustang was on September 7, 2004, with the first 2005 model rolling off Flat Rock Assembly on September 27, 2004. U.S. market launch and customer delivery began at the end of October 2004, with production ending in late 2008 for the 2009 model.

Just sayin.

FRAP is down now tearing out old body shop equipment and prepping for the 2015 production run. The conv may be kitted into the existing line during Thanksgiving. Patience is a virtue..................

It states: Build date 30.11.002. What does that mean?

Two Guesses:

*November 30 - Job 2 (I doubt this)
*It's just a filler until scheduling is complete and a real date is available. (My money is on this)

Will you guys with a VIN try out these sites and let us know what you find please?

http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do
http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin= {PLACE VIN HERE]
The first link worked, see photo, the second did not. My build date is the same date as the previous photo posted, so I agree the number is just a fill date. I've been told my build date is the week of August 28th.

Thanks for the link. I've yet to see my car in the system on the http://www.cotus.ford.com/ site, so this is the first time I know it is real :clap2:
