Got an email from my dealer today with the build date and VIN:D and Yes!!! finally the VIN is on the tracking site. The build date that my dealer gave me was September 8. I'm trying to find out how does the dealer know that since is not on cotusb web site yet. So im hoping for late September early October delivery :headbang:
Congratulations Man!!

I'm realistic and am hoping for mid or late October with the realization it might be November. Can't be soon enough!

I got to admit that late September is a little optimistic, and i dont mind waiting few more weeks to make sure there are no early production issues. So about 100 days to go..... 99,... I've been waiting few years for this..but is draging now

Weird. We ordered almost exactly the same vehicle (I did not get the security pack), and I also received my vin today. I wonder if they build these in batches. If so, I guess my build date will be around same time as yours. You have great taste by the way.

MY conspiracy theory...

Scheduling/VIN number assignment is based on the dealership and where they rank in sales.

I would anticipate a high volume seller to receive its allocations first and have them filled first (regardless of stock/retail). I'm anticipating that my small town dealership that got only three allocations (which I'm also speculating is the minimum number), to have its orders filled last. So a place that received 30 allocations early on (?) will have VINs assigned first and be first through the line. Places like my small dealership with 3 will be low man on the totem pole and have to wait a bit longer.

This is killing me. I want my car and I want it NOW. At the same time, I've waited four years for this, so what's a few extra weeks? I'll get it, it will go through QAQC, my name will be on the window sticker... hard to whine about that. :) Really what's going to happen if I'm going to see some of you guys driving yours while mine is being built and I'll get jealous and child-like and have to remind myself it's worth the wait.

But that's MY conspiracy theory...

My only problem with the wait is that the longer the delay in production, the less the value of my trade-in. I have 40,000 miles now, but will probably have 45,000 if I have to wait until November (ordered it June 22). That'll affect my trade-in value.

That's my problem too!!!! I have 44,000 and I can just feel the value going down every time I drive my truck. I got a quote from Carmax back in December when it had about 38,000 for $22,000 I'm hoping by the time I get the Mustang I can at least get $20,000 for it. I'm really counting on my truck taking a huge chunk off my loan since it's paid off but its losing value by the day :( I'm just ready for it to get here. I"m sooo tired of driving the truck

Thanks dude . Im sure will be only a few days between the delivery of pre-orders if they are stock orders, since they can crank out about 600 cars per day. I gotta say im excited about DIB . Hopefully will atract less attention from law enforcement than my old red GT!

You can all stop your sniveling an whining about when you expect to take delivery of your 2015 Mustangs now that you got your VIN # assigned. Those of us that are holding out for a 2015 Mustang Convertible probably won`t see one until the "2016" Model run since even the unscheduled order book is not open yet. So Boo-Hoo.......

I don't think that will be the case, since the convertible is not that far behind.
