Anybody bought a set of the B3010Am shocks yet? According to the description they eliminate the upper shock mount with there own mount. I have to order another set of shocks anyways since mine blew apart and bent and they did not seem to interested in taking a look at them.. Seems like a better way to get rid of the upper shock mount that tend to break anyways. Just curious if anyone has tried them, or has a picture of them since all I can find is generic pictures of a shock.

I have them, I just have not been able to really put some good use to them. As soon as I confirm they are solid and no issues, I will then offer them.

So the lower mount is a spherical bearing? That's good to see! I love the Vikings in my '11 and they would be my first choice for an S550 but the factory-style lower mount bind plus the weak upper mount(though I do like the Steeda upper mount) doesn't feel right to me. Glad to see these out and about, will definitely recommend them to local S550 owners at my shop.

Yeah these should allow for unhindered articulation of the shock throughout its travel. Bearings on both ends. The Steeda upper mount for all currently available shocks is a big improvement in this area too, as its bearing also serves the same purpose.

I'd like to see a bolt-through bracket on the body of the car and a simple rod end on the shock shaft. Seems much simpler and cheaper.

Would be awesome to see these with stock-style front struts as a complete kit for those who don't want coil-overs.

What other alternatives are there for the S550 and drag racing?
I am not really sure who else is making S550 Double Adjustables.

You definitely want a DA shock for drag racing this IRS.

I highly recommend considering Viking with the Crusader valving, I've spent an extensive amount of time ensuring those things work as well as possible for drag applications - which is evident when you look at any S550 IRS car that has been quicker than 8.90s (every one has Viking shocks)

When one came apart on me on the mustang last year I was surprised, and then even more surprised when I called in about it and they didn't seem to care. I have them on two other cars and love them, that's why I decided to buy another pair. The joys of racing..
