I installed kell trac viking crusader rear shocks on my 2019 mustang GT. It is almost impossible to turn the rebound and compression knobs. No room to get a hand in there. I've had 3 different people try, no luck. Do you have to remove the rear wheels to set them ?

lay on the ground on the side of your car, reach around the rear of the tire, stick hand in and adjust.

I thought that would be a problem when I was shopping for Viking shocks. It was for that reason, that I decided to go with KellTrac’s Ultra Spec Inverted Viking shocks. Not only can they be adjusted when lying on the ground, they also provide lots of clearance between the shock and half shaft dust boot.

I wonder if yours can be converted to inverted to solve your problem?

Just installed mine a couple of days ago and tested access to the adjustment knobs today.

Which way do you have the adjustment knobs facing? Out towards the tire or facing inward? Only way to get a hand on them is to have them facing out.

I was looking at these, but then got to thinking with the tires on and the car at ride height, you'll still need to lay on the ground and figure out how to get your hand all the way up there. Not sure they'll be any easier to adjust be honest. Or you'll need to jack up the car so the suspension can unload to give you the room.

I plan to bring ramps to the track and will back the car up on them if I need to make adjustments. I purchased the regular Kelltrac Crusaders last year before the inverted ones were available.

The adjusters are facing out toward the tires. I tested them today with the wheels on and I was able to access them very easily by lying on my back. No jack or ramps needed for me to access them.

I should also add that my car is not lowered, which is why I’m able to slide underneath it without using a jack.

My car is lowered I'm going to just jack up the car and remove the rear tires.

I had Vikings on my truck and they were difficult to adjust at first. I had to remove the knob and re-grease on one of the shocks and everything has been working great since.

I removed the rear shocks today and put them on my bench. I still could not turn the knobs. I used a pair of pliers to get them to twist and now they turn easily. I can turn them while on the car and make the adjustments.
I should have tested the knobs before I installed them ,everything seems fine now.

They were brand new with seized adjuster knobs, or did the elements cause them to seize up?

Brand new. Once I was able to get the first click with pliers they turned easily. I should have tried to turn them before installing them.
