Living in central North Carolina, most people think my plate is in support of the Hurricanes NHL hockey team. While I am a long-time fan of theirs, the HURICANE is for the University of Miami Hurricanes, since I'm an alumni. I had the plate before the car and was thinking of getting something new, but when I saw that the blue text matched the DIB really well, I just decided to keep it. Plus, a Category 5 hurricane is the most powerful on the Saffir-Simpson scale, and the car is powered by a 5 liter engine, so it all worked out.
