Hello all,

I'm looking to buy the new 15' V6 soon. This is going to be my first car purchase.

Anybody at all (current 15' V6 owners/enthusiasts) have any dyno/0-60/quarter mile numbers on the V6?

Thank you:ford:

Here you go! This was my first real 0-60 time in the car. No launch, traction control on, transmission in sport mode. I feel pretty confident that I can get this into the 5's with some practice and possibly shifting with the paddles.

Thanks bro!

Could you do me a favor though and just do a 0-60 in full auto transmission? from what I've been hearing the full auto on the V6 goes faster than Manual trans/sports mode (at least for last years model). It was somewhere in the 5.3-5.4s range last year. 6.3s looks like a big drop for the same engine.

edit: the 2013 V6 was able to pull off a 5.1s 0-60 and a 13.7 second 1/4 mile. From what I've been hearing, we have the same transmission this year? (http://www.zeroto60times.com/Ford-0-60-mph-Times.html)

With perfect launch (and unknown magical skills that Motortrend, Road and Track, etc. use) you should have much better times then 6.3. I'm sure the reviews will get low 5's with the 2015 V6 as well. In real life I'm sure high 5's will be doable pretty easily.

I would check the same source for 0-60 times on all models to give you some reference because C/D gets very aggressive 0-60 numbers over motortrend for example.

I think the manual V6 would be quicker as it has a shorter 1st (and 2nd?) gear, and you can rev hard and dump the clutch. The V6 your starting from the dungeon of RPMs

I really hope this v6 in manual is faster.... Apparently top speed in limited due to driveshaft?

Top speed could be limited due to insurance reasons as well, plus to help differentiate it from the ecoboost. Lower top speeds means lower insurance premiums which is great for fleet sales. What the different brackets are for premiums vs. top speed I have no idea though lol. Just some speculation.

Just did another run on my way to class. 2k launch, traction control on, sport mode. 6.1 sec. Plan to do another when I get out of class tonight. Will have pics when I get home.

2k launch, traction control on, sport mode. 6.1 sec. Believe it or not but the numbers on the left are actually a completely different run from the numbers on the right... I think this might just be all I'm gonna get on 87 octane.

You get better launches with traction control off. Also, 2K is pretty low -- in my 2011 I always got the best launches at around 4K with torque braking.
