After installing my Corsa lth’s, the car is just way too raspy and loud. I currently have an CJ pony parts brand x-pipe and the active exhaust.

In quiet, it’s extremely raspy and “tinny”. Same in regular except it’s very loud. And track is unusable as that’s basically open headers.

In short, I want to clean up the sound so it’s not just raspy all the time, and a small decrease in volume would be nice too. Thinking about having a shop cut out the slip joints joining the x-pipe to the stock axle-back and replacing those sections with the mf 10416 mufflers. Anyone else done something similar?

A lot of people have used the vibrant 1792 or 1794 resonators to cut out rasp and are very pleased. My cat delete, h pipe, oem active had too much rasp for me and I added in two 1792 resonators right behind my H pipe and it done exactly what I needed it to do. Kept most of the volume and killed the rasp

Thanks! I went ahead and bought two of the vibrant 1792’s. I was worried about the magnaflows making it too quiet. Plus these are about half the price.

I added vibrants to my prev Corsa Xtreme connection to ARH headers and it reduced volume, rasp and trumpety tone.

Sounds good, can’t wait to see how it changes. The trumpeting is probably the worst part. It’s almost as bad as my old s2000 with a test pipe and the invidia n1 exhaust I had on there. Worst drone and rasp I’ve ever had in a car. The only people who thought it sounded good were my, at the time, die hard Honda fanboy friends.
