As the title says I'm upgrading my wheels and maybe tires. I'm looking at Vossen HF5 and I'm know I'm going with a square tire set up but I'm going back and forth between 19" and 20" wheels. My main concern is ride quality because IIRC to go to 20" I'll need to upside to 305/30/20 tires and will the lesser sidewall seriously detract from ride quality?
Also, do I used the same back-spacing F/R as on the stock wheels?
Thank you in advance.

that's a great looking wheel. have you spoken to vossen yet on whether they have fitment for the gt350? gotta make sure not only that they have the offsets you want but also that the wheels clear the calipers. i'd give em a call...
I already checked and they have those wheels available in the factory offsets. I didn't ask about caliper clearance

I'm sure we have vendors here who are authorized dealers for Vossen. Maybe they would be better equipped to answer all your questions. They may even frequent the GT350 subsection.

Short answers to your questions...

- back spacing is the same, or darn near, between 19 vs 20.

- you’re driving a 350 and you’re debating any ride quality differences between the two tire options?? Really? Seriously? If you are, logic dictates the 30’s on the 20’s will ride rougher, sooooo....

Almost certain you're going to have to stick with the 20s. I know they've been done multiple times for the HF5 on the GT350 so no issues there. The smaller side wall will create a rougher ride but nothing crazy where you'll hate it.

Text us and we'll get you setup with those wheels!

FYI - I just purchased a set of hre ff10 Wheels and tire package from vibe Motorsports. I sent them a pm and Vince hooked me up. They are one of the sponsors for site and their customer service and pricing was excellent.

Maybe I should clarify; I am a senior citizen and my car is my daily driver and I leave it in Sport. I understand that the ride quality will be a little worse but I don't want it to be noticeable to the point I regret the decision to go to 20" wheels. As someone said below the ride quality is a little rougher and that is ok.

Glad to see that I am not the only senior driving a new 350! I'll be 62 in March. I don't daily my R, my daily in E92 M3, which in itself, is a whale of a daily ride IMO>

You'll be fine. Switch to normal mode for the leisurely drive, it will remove some of the "harshness".

I'm looking at Pilot Super Sports 305/30/20 and there are two versions, K3 Ferrari and MO Mercedes. Does anybody know the difference besides price?

Partnered between the car manufacturer and the tire manufacturer to make "their" spec tire. Just like Ford and Porsche did with Cup2s
