I found the part number (FR3Z-17K835-BA) for the Premium bumper, but am a little unclear as to what all I would need to complete the swap The description I have found for the above part is "Bumper cover" So, does that mean it's just the cover? Would the diffuser, etc. be seperate? I've seen a few for sale on ebay that appear to be complete bumpers, will those bolt right up? Is there anything else that would be needed? I would assume that the inside, structural part of the bumper would be the same.

You need the bumper, diffuser trim and hardware to attach the diffuser trim (black part). You can use your existing bumper hardware on the new bumper. This is what I was told from my dealer parts/body man. I plan on doing the same thing, as I have no desire for all the premium package items, but I want that diffuser...

I'm in the same boat. I didn't want any other parts of the Premium package. But, I desperately want that diffuser. To be clear, are you saying that the part number listed above does NOT include the diffuser, or the hardware? Dob you happen to have those numbers?

Click this link:

It lists all the part numbers. Seems the bumper 1, valence panel 5, and some assorted hardware is what is needed. Odd thing is the bumper has a $75 core charge, and the regular bumper is more then the one with the back up sensors.

You guys are killing me. I never even noticed a difference so I looked it up and now I want a premium rear cover for my Black GT PP. I'm surprised they didn't come with the PP!

Here is a comparison for anybody that hasn't seen it.

Yeah, not only does the two tone look better. But, the black part lines up with the factory rockers. So, it looks really unfinished without it. I literally almost convinced myself to spend the extra $4K to get the Premium, even though I didn't want any other part of the package

for me it was more of the restriction of not being able to change my diffuser that drove me crazy... I didn't go out and do this to mine because I needed it , it just happened to work out after the fact that I needed a new bumper... but it was the original reason I couldn't order a quad tip roush exhaust because I couldn't change the diffuser. now i have the bumper and If I ever decide that I NEED the quad tip exhaust, now I can change my diffuser as I please... for some colors it doesn't look that great .. the base bumper but my opinion is that on black and magnetic the base bumper isn't that bad but for some of the other colors.. I couldnt live with it

Sure did. Thanks for the info. I had seen that pic, but not with the part numbers.

And for those who are saying to dip it, that's a good temporary fix, but in the long run the OEM premium bumper is my plan. If for no other reason than the eventual option to upgrade to the Roush diffuser.
