Hello; The author tried to paint this EPA move as a negative. However the quote of the current EPA administrator gets it right in my view. I hope some other edicts are removed and/or rolled back.

Hello; Sounds significant doesn't it. If you read the story that the records only go back 40 years ought to calm things down. My take is there will be ongoing efforts to revive the "green new deal" agendas. A prominent one being climate change of course.
We need to keep in mind the champions of these agendas are not gone nor defeated. They are possibly on their heels a bit in some areas. They will try to wait out what they consider the current setback.
Executive orders can be reversed by a new executive. EPA decrees can be reversed by a new EPA administrator.

Hello; I think there is some sort of problem with this site. I do not know how to report it. For some time letters have been slow to show up on the screen when typing on the keyboard. Generally, after the post gets to several sentences. I am slow on the keyboard so have been surprised when I get ahead with my typing and have to wait for the letters to show up.
More recently I get a window asking if i want to wait or leave the site. Happens more when i first sign in the last day or so.

Hello; First question. I was trying to explain to a relative that the E in DEI is not equality. I did a very poor job. Can someone give me suggestions as to how to give a civilized explanation of what equity is as it is used in DEI stuff? Also how to make clear that equity has nothing to do with equality. Statements which could be written on places such as this forum.

A scenario involving running might help.

If I'm competing against someone with poor feet, while we both begin at the same starting line (equality), odds are good I'm always going to win.

But if the cause of those bad feet is looked upon and corrected (equity), it'll then be more of an actual competition (equality).

A simple definition would be: a person's destiny shouldn't be dictated by the zip code they were born into.
