Where is this from? The numbers don’t seem out of line.

Assuming these #'s are correct.....

Not surprised that Shadow Black & Oxford White both did so well, behind the Heritage color option.

These cars look great in any color offered.
Maybe 'Turd Boiler Brown' will make it to the rumored '26 mdl.

Those numbers look like they came from the FordGT500 forum from Jack1.1

I like to disassemble things.
Ford knows the breakdown down to the nuts, bolts...everything. The fact that they stopped releasing all the data a few years ago (and have stayed the course) is rather telling. It speaks to something averse, either direct or indirect, to our community's interest. In my case it pushes me away from the brand, not towards it.

Why is that? Just curious. I don’t get interested in any particular car with the inclination down the road I need to know the breakdown of production of model. I get the collector side, but no offense to those, the actual car and what it is is more important to me.

It is very close. The PNW Ford Sales Director confirmed the HE production run QTY for the dealer I originally considered buying one through back in early 2022. The estimate at the time was ~1200.

Interesting.

I'm the last guy to care about the over the top collector-side silliness and it is indeed all about the hardware to me (well, and photography of said hardware). It is administrative/legal decisions and the resultant choices made that sometimes muck up a good vibe that have earned my disdain. I've seen enough posts from others, as has Ford, to see that this matters to some. Including Ford, that constantly yaps about production Shelby numbers in the past. But now it's a secret...good grief. Just give the people what they want and stop playing games.

I don’t disagree about administrative/legal stuff either. They don‘t have exclusivity in that regard. It is pretty comical that one of the survey questions that’s in all of there surveys, is x a company you can always trust to do the right thing.

Based on my understanding the delayed release of the official Ford Performance production numbers (GT500/GT350 etc.) are centered around Ford memorabilia such as window stickers, certificates of authenticity, brochures, key chains, books, posters, banners, etc. which are marketed by Ford Show Parts.

The way that I understand it, if Ford licensing or any other possible issue becomes a roadblock for any one item that Ford Show Parts want to market to us Mustang enthusiasts, that then delays the release of the Ford Performance production numbers until such time that all items have been cleared for sale/marketing by Ford Show Parts.

Are production numbers more important to some versus others, absolutely therefore certainly understand and appreciate the frustration from many Mustang enthusiasts which unfortunately rubs them the wrong way.

Regarding the attached listed 2022 GT500 production numbers, they all look terrific and if they are correct, then numbers that I understand to be correct are only off by 1 example.

In addition, I suggest that the final numbers will also include 23 pre-production vehicles for the final GT500 production year.

Also understand that the last chassis number assigned was "N3911"and that the Absolute Black Painted Stripe option for the 2-seat and 4-seat HE vehicles will represent 2.7% of total production.

Thanks for posting and suggest that the official FP production numbers for the 3-year run of the 3rd Gen GT500's may be released before the end of this month at least let's hope so.

Maybe I have missed some production data information over the last couple of years, but I don't recall Ford stopping the release of all production data over the last few years and have stayed the course.

Has Ford delayed production data over the last while, no question but to suggest that Ford has stopped releasing production data in recent years is inaccurate.

You can't have it both ways. Pick one.

Interesting you mention that you are being pushed away from the brand one day and then the next day you seem to be back on board?

Talk about someone playing games and trying to have it both ways.

I get why many want to know production numbers. The reality is in the grand scheme of things the actual production numbers only feed the segment of the market for the most part that deal in ratio’s and percentages that trade on that marketing aspect. Nothing wrong with that. But the average car enthusiast see’s a Gt500l Gt500cftp and simply admire’s and appreciate’s it for what it is, a really special car. All that said in the current situation where employee’s in general are a pain in the …. to come up with, actual production numbers at this time may not be a top priority.
