You cannot use the term "if" with regards to our leaving the EU; that's a done deal. Whether we can create the correct trade agreements is anyone's guess - and that's 2 years away. The 2018 car will adhere to current standards - I'd expect no changes in tariffs or anything otherwise until 2019/2020 and by then we'll be looking at a new model.
I meant "if" before the MY18 comes. And then speaking future wise on underseal post and pre deal will probably be different.

Also speaking with a half eye on the MY21 as that's the big one i care about lol.

With the glacial progress we've made even starting the process, the 2018 models will be rusty and unloved before underseal gets sorted ;)

Do we?

I feel quite ill.
Yes, cause Europe hate our guts, they feel screwed over, and will only deal with us if they can't sell to anyone else
They want the UK to pay, why do you think nicola sturgeon wants to get away from us ASAP
U may hate him, but he welds a lot of power, why do you think May was the 1st one to visit him, and we are making such a fuss of him when he comes over here?

anyway enough on the Politics
mind you he does love a V8 !!

Politics ayyy. This debate could go for days (I voted out, shoot me ).

Anyway, wasn't there a picture of him infront of a GB Mustang at the Ford plant?

Our cars will just end up adhering to euro standards by choice rather than necessity. It'll cost too much to have our own fork off the production line. I think more likely to happen is that what remaining car assembly/production there is in this country will ship off to mainland Europe.

The RHD Mustang doesn't quite meet European standards either - it's probably closer to the Australian car (no Recaro seats, for example).

In any case, I doubt the shipping will change - so we'll still get it "undersealed" and then still complain it hasn't happened.

I had mine jacked up to change back to summer tyres & noticed that at the front of the car the channel pressings had an oily look around the various holes. Looking inside the channels was a yellowish waxy substance. To the rear of the car i could find channel with no evidence of the wax. In other places a black substance had been sprayed around & body colour was evident in places masked by pipes & hoses.
Is the wax applied in Flatrock & the black sprayed on in Europe. Should I be concerned?
As an aside I found the car tilting sets off the alarm. I had to leave the tyre change so locked it & returning did not unlock before jacking.

Yep, yellow wax would be factory sealant used in the seams etc - black stuff in Europe. Should you be worried.. read through the thread. I would be, but it might not bother you. We're all in the same boat here - I'm having my re-done at my own cost. It's piece of mind but maybe... maybe, not necessary. Modern cars like ours should be fine. They do have an anti-perforation warranty, after all. I just don't like the idea of claiming against it (i.e having rust!)

FYI the cavity wax applied in the USA during the build is reportedly inconsistent. Mine had more in one door than the other for example.

As some of you know I'm now driving a Focus RS, not sure if the car has the rubber matt stuff glued to the underside of the car but what it does have is plastic panels that protect the metal body underside so if any stones or larger objects bounce up under the car the body is protected, although this car isn't going to be a keeper I feel so much happy it has it on, it really is a shame that Ford can't go down this route with the Mustang.
