You're local-ish to me. You should come up and I can help you get your car dialed in.

The thing is plenty of Lund tuned cars do perform and run amazing times. When doing email tunes you have to be on your game with understanding your car especially with remote FF tunes. Hell my base tune ran 12.4@115 from LR and on 93 octane Jr. and crew got it down to 11.963 @ 117 with 93 octane and 11.841 @ 118 with FF tune (e50 registered). A local M6 PP tune with your mods ran 11.9 @ 118 on stock PP rims and tires as a reference for you in good air.

Email your logs over. Again Greg likes pictures of bananas and Jr. seems to be a fan of the Bachelor. I attach a photo of each when working with them to ensure a their in a good mindset.
pm coming your way

Sick03L,

I'd love to be able to help you out, but without a datalog or knowing all the details, it is hard for us to help. Please send an email to [email protected] and we can get you setup with datalogging instructions for your SCT ASAP. Once we see a datalog, we will have a much better idea of what is going on.

Greg K.

Thank you

Hard to tell what your car can really do without a decent tire or a very well prepped track. If you are getting wheel hop and spinning in 2nd your times will suffer.

Recently went to the track and did 7 runs with Slicks and all in the 11.7-8s@116 range. My fastest trap in better weather has been upper 118s. Well I wanted to see what the stock Pirelli's would do and ran a 13.0@114. Lol. Not the tunes fault the tires couldn't hold.

Roll racing is really hard to mess up. I did some pulls in Mexico, at an air strip, guarded by Chuck Norris, with a C7 auto vette. 30 up, he jumped me a little, but I had 2 cars on him by 120 and I was still pulling away. Same vette with my wife's stock auto, he had me by 5 cars at least. Some of it is headers, but most of it is the 93 octane tune. I sent in a log, and Alex said it looked good, 28 degrees total timing and the car was happy and adding timing. The first tune they sent way right on the money, I guess.

I'm a little curious about the FF tune, I'll be watching this.

Try launching the All Season Tires on the C/S Edition. It's like bambi on ice. Not sure I can even get to 60 under 6 seconds.

Bakery racing vs two auto's with different gear ratios is not an apples to apples comparison. Depending on what gear you are in, you may be too high or low of your power band.

Sick03L, I recall reading a thread about a lot of S550 owners complaining about poor trap times for the mods they had. A few of them had issues with their spark plugs not being gapped properly. Once they regapped them to Ford's recommended range they added 2-3mph to their traps. The theme of the thread seemed to suggest that maybe a bad batch of plugs went out.

Not saying that that's it, but its just something to consider as a possibility. Good luck!

He was running 3:55s... me 3:73s

We went from a 20, 40, 60, 70 etc etc etc.. results were all the same... his stock ass car stayed right with me. I only ever slighty pulled on him as he was loaded up with a passenger, 2 full size rims w tires and a jack in the trunk. That is not ok... lol. My car does not run strong.

Don't ever use one. I'm either on my phone or my desk top working. I haven't had one on 3 years??

Did that when I bought the car. Gapped them all at .048.

There is so much wrong in this thread. I just cannot stand it anymore. To the OP. There is nothing more that pisses off a good tuner with threads like this. So many things can affect performance. Best advice I saw in this thread is CONTACT your tuner 1st before starting threads like this. :frusty:

probably $200-300 at your favorite big box store.

If I had a tune, I wouldn't mess around.

Was not bashing or starting a war. Working on getting help logging the car and sending them off to Lund.
Its frustrating having stock cars side by side w you and seeing people trap 4mph more with same mods, gas etc. I'm sure you understand.
