I'm not too concerned about undercoating the framework, because new steels are quite corrosion resistant.
However, I noticed when I got to work today, that the wheel wells are made of this felt-like material, and it was totally waterlogged from rain. It seems like a very cheap kind of material for the wheel wells.
What I would like to do is spray some rubberized waterproofing to soak in and waterproof it. I can't help but think this stuff isn't very durable from getting hit by rocks and such. Not only will it help with sound, but also hopefully strengthen this material a little bit.
What kind of spray do you recommend for this kind of thing?
Rustoleum undercoating?
Maybe Flex Seal?
