Got an update on the Inverness demo car, and a little disappointment. My order was placed on 4th July, I guess they sat on it until the end of the month before processing. (

I’m replying to your enquiry on Facebook about the current status of your Mustang order.

As it currently stands, there is no build date for any Mustang order placed after 16th of June, they are building everything in batches based on the order date. I see that your order was placed in August, so as a result, there is no build date at this moment. We will of course keep you updated as the process moves on.
Just to let you know, we will have a Mustang here in our showroom for viewing from December 10th until the 16th, if you are free to pop in and have a look.

Regards
Andy

Now that is crazy - given the length of time they have been building Mustangs - it isn't a "new model" any more, and the RHD's have been in production for 4 months now, how on earth can this still be the case? I don't see how it can be a "factory constraint" so are Ford deliberately keeping it as a low volume "halo" car for the RHD markets?

A poster in NL at: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33217 has just said he ordered in October and was told delivery in Feb 2016...! It looks like there are "per country" allocations though...

Doesn't bode well if I choose to order through them. Does this mean only for viewing, no test drives available?

Not such a problem as going on the wait times currently, I will probably wait to time delivery with the changes in VED in 2017

ÂŁ140 per year for a GT see's more acceptable (man maths) than current

So, just got the mail from the dealership to say they've got their Demo cars as promised, when am I coming down to try them on for size? - but it's December and my wife has beaten them to my diary at the weekends - so test drive will have to wait until the 29th.

Meanwhile, for those of you in the south east with more time on their hands right now though, speak to James Rowe at TrustFord in Epsom (01372852715).
Cars are now here and ready to demo. I want to start getting customers to come, see the car and test drive the cars.

Of all the pictures of Stangs I've seen over many years, this is the first that's ever featured a bunnet!

Birmingham Bristol Street Motors will have a Black GT in tomorrow (04/12/15) for test drives. I've also personally been told that I can take a look around their 12 Cars that they have in customer prep (Not allowed to go in them, obviously). Will post pictures Saturday.

They are not for test driving. "regretfully our insurance company will not cover test drives however the cars are available for viewing purposes from today."

Just had a call from John Grose @ Ipswich to tell me they have 2 RHD Gt's available for test drive should I wih.

The words pope and catholic were used lol

Same was with my Dealer, it appears some are willing to let you test drive, more than others, my guess is it's an individual stance. (I thought all orders for the 2015 Mustang had stopped today as it's dec 3rd and they'd not be taking anymore?)

It's probably because they could have an randomer of the street test driving it and maybe crash it. They should at least let people that have one ordered test drive them.

I can see the risk surrounding that.
I agree, those who've ordered should be allowed to test drive, otherwise you're doing what I did and flying yourself out to the states, finding a nice ford salesman and praying they had a 2.3L in stock for you to drive!

My local non Ford Store dealer had previously mentioned about getting the loan of a Mustang from the Ford Store so I could test drive it. Maybe I could test drive it on the local dealers insurance, it would save me an extra 2 hours of a round trip.
