UK Test Drives From Next Week

Good new for those (like me) who've been lurking for a long time, but not been willing to drop 30K+ on a car without a test drive - I got a mail yesterday from my "local" (ie. not very local at all) dealer to say Ford have notified them that they're getting 2x demo cars for test drives next week.

Happy Days - esp. after Alamo let me down on the "hire a Mustang during my business trip to San Francisco" plan last week (no Alamo, a Dodge Charger or a Camaro won't do - I can't buy one of them in RHD in the UK).

I think the only ones who have had test drives are the ones who have their cars already :lol: I've seen one in the flesh but they wouldn't even start it up or rev it for me, well they did once I had left :frusty:

awaiting a test drive here also. I would have pulled the trigger myself ages ago but The Boss wants to make sure she can drive it also as she has had issues in the past with Camaro's etc when hired in the States.

Still awaiting contract from People's Edinburgh of Macrae & Dick Inverness...

I am booked in for a test drive on Saturday morning. I sat in a RHD soft top last weekend. I cant imagine the test drive will put me off the car one bit. All they need to do then is get on and build me one!

Did you see that Desmonds got 2 Mustangs in this morning. One is a Race Red manual fastback and the other is an automatic convertible. And btw you could have at least videoed it ;)

Didn't know they had those in. Must be their demos. If the convertible is black then it is lisburns demo car.

I'm in pretty much the exact same situation as yourself. Need to make sure the other half is reasonably happy with the car. Similarly rented a Camaro in the states and she wasn't too happy, could have been more down to the 6 lane highway though!;)

Was in past Inverness last Friday and no sign of anything at Macrae & Dick. Preferably looking to use them.

Let me know if you hear anything?

They are not for test driving. "regretfully our insurance company will not cover test drives however the cars are available for viewing purposes from today."
