Again, that is not what I said. Why don't you actually reply to my question? You had no problem quoting and commenting on my post when it had nothing to do with your reply. But now that I call you out on it, you resort to this?

Also, you have a 60% reaction to post score based on your profile. I have a 124%, I think it's fair to say I don't have a problem with responses to post.

I've never ignore anyone on this site since I signed up. I don't have a problem with differing opinions and enjoy open conversation. But when you distort what I say, or quote me with comments that have nothing to do with the quote, I'm going to call you out on it.

So I'll ask for a 3rd time now, how does my opinion of a statement of cost have anything to do with the noise ordinance?
@raptor17GT has said all that needs saying on the subject in post #43

Just bringing this back up and trying to get it back on topic ... lol

Ref the policeman pulled you over / stationary test at fixed RPM / roadside style of testing - I almost think that kind of test is pointless and is likely to only catch cars with either missing or completely unsilenced pipes ?

Active exhaust uses - would you leave it in track or slip it into silent ? Yeah, thought so ... lol

Fart can / crackle tunes - they really need overrun under load to get rowdy, a fixed rpm test isn't going to do it.

So the noise cameras probably stand a better chance of catching out the truly noisy cars ...

But once people know where they are, no full throttle, slip it into silent, coast through the camera etc ... (brake light syndrome just before a speed camera).

But then maybe the camera has had it's desired effect anyway ... ?

When I see them on wide open roads with no residential stuff, that's when I will start to get concerned :like:

WD :like:

Side note : My first car was lotus 7 style and it was quite noisy (single cherry bomb style silencer). The H&S guy at work didn't particularly like me (or anyone else) and hated my car, he made it his mission to get it banned from site so I had to park on the main road. He wasn't well liked, particularly by the guys in the security lodge. They would tip me off when he was coming in early to hide in the lodge and get me with the db meter on the way past. Thanks to the tip offs, I would boot it down the feeder road and then coast past the security lodge trying to keep a straight face. He got sacked for fiddling his expenses before he managed to catch me.

Maybe implementing the noise cameras was his ultimate plan to catch you all these years later?!

Right challenge exapted I'm taking my push bike up to Brum and putting clothes peg and a playing card on the wheels :cwl:

It would be interesting to find out what decibel the cameras trigger at as I can see kids on a 50cc two stroke or the old Mod's boys and girls going by on a Lamberti triggering them.

I guess some car's tyre noise will trigger them as well a lot of big EV's make a lot of noise or is that just the owners!
