I have loved American cars ever since I first laid my eyes on a 57 Chevy. Has been my dream to own an American V8 ever since. I will truly realize a dream when I drive my Stang away from the dealer later this year.

Honestly, I looked at running costs and tax etc and I couldn't justify it right now, ÂŁ505 for tax is just a bit too much. I'm happy to run the baby mustang as it's not a big jump from my 3 series and maybe in future jump up to the v8.....

Hence why I love the new DVLA system. Monthly direct debit, baby! ÂŁ42 a month is less of a sting compared to ÂŁ505 each year.

All I'll say is "don't get your hopes up." Look for S197 Mustangs on AutoTrader or eBay Motors. Unless they have a colossal number of miles on them, you may as well buy new.

Now that I'm 56 I could finally afford my Mustang GT as a fair weather Muscle car I was one of the first deliveries in New England last November 1st 2014.
Let me tell you it was worth the wait, my son in law has a 2014 V6 performance package and the build is so much better in my 2015 than his.
However, I would love a Focus St in the 2 door model you guys get !

I keep toying between v8 and EB aswel,
But 4k extra for car
235 extra for road tax
Extra insurance
Plus over 1k a year extra in fuel.
I couldn't justify the extra costs either.

I think its going to be very good. I have heard that most people in the trade think that Ford have under priced the Mustang for the UK. Residuals are expected to be very good.
