Shouldn't be too bad, can't be any worse than the first year i passed my test. It cost me £2,200 for a 1.25l Fiesta. Just before the rules on Insurance changed.

I quoted on Admiral for the ecoboost a couple weeks ago and got quoted £1,500. Once it becomes available on comparison sites I'm expecting quotes somewhere around £1,000.

try putting in details on a Porsche Boxter 2.7l and see what it comes out at. That's what I was told by ford to base it on.

Just tried this and got my annual premium down to £840.58. For a 21 year old, that's pretty damn good

Do you guys think using a Jaguar F-Type Coupé R (5.0L V8 Auto) is a good basis for Insurance quotes for the Mustang GT?

I just put the numbers into Compare the Market, and with a £500 excess at the age of 25 I got £872.38 on a car worth £70,000.

The Mustang can only go cheaper from there, right? I hope so. :D

No idea what you mean [emoji57]

I was wondering as most of the ages mentioned seemed to be older and I wondered were most people buying them to keep in a garage and use as a weekend toy or daily driver.

I seem to be one of the only guys I know getting one over here although most ones I know in the car scene are impressed they are coming over.

The right combination :
- Get an old Mustang 'cruiser' for weekends and sunny days...eg '66 V8 'vert :D
- Add an ecoboost as daily (take an ingot with custom pack) and you're pretty close to the looks of an AM :headbang:. V8 is not option with the excesive taxes.
- Keep a Big one to carry around some stuff and the family

Of course you need to build up the car collection by the years...am 47
