So true. I shudder when I see the Chevy badge on those horrible little Daewoos.
What were they thinking.
Ever since I was little, it always puzzled me that the great US cars were never officially imported here so here I am at 53 years old with a deposit on a GT.
I had a Mercury Grand Marquee 4.6 V8 for the past year and absolutely loved it. Used it as a daily to commute across London and after a short time getting used to it's size, I was just as fast through the traffic as I am in my e36 BMW
It has also got me used to the expense of running a V8 as it only did 12mpg in town.
Didn't think the interior was too bad, in fact it was a lovely place to sit. Like an armchair in my lounge
Was pretty nippy for a 2 ton lump and the handling was fine. You just get used to the way it drives.
I miss it but it was sold for a big profit to add to my savings for the new Mustang.
