Where abouts in UK are you and what spec/colour did you order m8?

Im up north, Yorkshire. Ordered Magnetic, 5L, Auto, all but the nickel wheels as I think the black will look nicer.

Karen has confirmed that my car is in Zeebrugge but won't get to me before Christmas. Not too upset as that will make it a 2016 registration and gives an extra draw for my premium bonds to come up! As usual my dealer was no help...

I have my detailing/finishing booked at a local place (Envy Detailing in Gosport) for January, so my childlike excitement about Christmas will now officially continue until I get the car...

8 sleeps until Santa, and maybe 20 sleeps or so for my car!

And you live in southampton!!! Just go to the docks and pick it up :lol:.

It will be registered in 2016, but it wont get a 2016 registration plate as they're March release, right?

Correct - the "plates" switch in March (to 16) & Sep (to 66) butI am putting my private plate on it; if / when I come to resell it, it will be a "2016 registration on a 65 plate".

probably won't make a difference to the resale value, but who knows?

Never know with resale, i'm highly ancy with just the original plate numbers, and want it to be 'new' by the plate standards. Must just be me :shrug:

I know what you mean, and I originally requested delivery on 1st April, as that made the finances easier for me.

But once I knew the car was built and on the way, it was amazing how easy it was for me to get the finances sorted sooner than expected!

So I will now be driving it around 10 weeks sooner than I expected - yippee!

Or should I say yee-hah!

Deep South, was your car on the CSCC Asia that docked last week at Zeebrugge.

Only asking as some people with cars that were on it are saying that their cars will be on tomorrow's ship to Southampton. Karen said that she would try to get me on it but I have heard nothing in the past 24 hours.

Quick question for anyone with a manual GT V8 - does it have 4 or 6 pot Brembos? It seems the Euro cars only have 4 pots on them manual?

New brochure states 6 pot on the GT and 4 pot on the Ecoboost

I was momentarily excited on your behalf when I saw the orange lurking at the back; then I realised it was EB. There was a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge amongst the staff I talked to (I was there getting my Mondeo serviced, which incidentally was a good experience).
