Hope Abbo has had some good news as well.
Just had the following email from my 'local';

Colin Good news the car has arrived!!!!!!!!!!!! they will pdi the car Wednesday for collection from them on Thursday

Result. Now pushing for Friday!:)

Out of interest, I contacted ALA Gap insurance today. ÂŁ207 for 3 years (against ÂŁ399 for Ford). They confirmed that any Mods done are okay (but not insured) as long as Car insurance are happy and they have been declared with them.Talked about deferring for a year but they then explained that New Car policies are not the same as Gap so it's worth doing both. For ÂŁ200, I'm in!
I know this has been covered elsewhere but with so many cars coming in at the moment, thought it might be of interest here.

Come on Abbo ............ where are you?

I'm afraid I've withdrawn so far into myself I'm struggling to type.

Still no news for me . . . .

I'm off to Glastonbury Thursday and back Monday so another weekend making vroom noises in my head. The only positive is that I've signed all my ford finance documents and paid my deposit already, so if it should arrive I can pick up immediately.

Still crossing fingers for next Monday (chances are it's been at the dealership a week already)

Good News!!! - my car has finally been loaded onto a transporter!!

Though despite Stacey's promise to let me know, I had to chase to find this out so god knows how long ago it was actually loaded!! (Other than this, Stacey's actually been very helpful).

Fingers crossed for Monday pick-up!!

Let's just hope I don't need any pollyfilla for the panel gap! (I've emailed my dealer to check for this prior to pick-up but I have little faith anyone actually will)

Went to have a look at mine last night, set up the 7 day insurance, and get it registered with my personal plates etc.

It was absolutely filthy, cobwebs and everything. But even still, it looks beautiful & I am in love!

Gave it a half look over with Manders checklist, and the panel alignments look to be fine at first glance (though difficult to tell with the protective covering still on. My Detailor is coming with me to look over the paintwork tomorrow and we'll take off the protective plastic etc, so I'll have a closer look.

When you do this check things such as, panel lines between wheel arch connections, panel lines on bonnet, panel lines on boot, panel lines on valance and panel lines on doors.... They tend to be the biggest culprits, but in short, just check it all, use your finger and run it over the connections in a line, I find my fingers are very good at spotting when something is out of place (Granted most of the time you can see).

Glad you're happy with it matey, and having a detailer come with you is a stellar idea and brilliant customer service from his point of view! Can't wait to see her all fully prepped and on the road, looks a beauty, love the DIB with black contrast!

Cheers for the advice Manders will do!

Yep, I've been really lucky in finding a local Detailor who is such a nice guy & so customer focused.

Check out @topcardetailing on Twitter or @top_car_detailing on Instagram next week as I'm sure Barry will be posting quite a few updates of the various stages. He did a convertible GT in Ruby Red the other week - looked stunning!

Very nice! I almost went for DIB.

Anyone else spot the passing Mustang on the road in the third picture? Spooky
