About time, what took so long from it leaving Zeebrugge? It's not like it had far to go.
It took 3 weeks to go from Zeebrugge to the dealer (a total of 200km), so God knows what they were doing with it.

Its been at the dealer for coming up 3 weeks as I have been waiting for the registration documents from the Dutch DVLA.... again, delayed because Ford NL were somewhat slow at giving me the documents I needed for the registration process.

It arrived in Zeebrugge not far off 2 months ago! Slow progress!

I was copied in on a email from my dealer to Ford asking for my order to be prioritised (at my request) because my delivery date too had been pushed back to 7th July

Ford @kjb1906 @AndyBarratt - what is going on? I really don't understand how a purportedly global company can get logistics so wrong and yet not learn any lessons or do anything to correct the problem

The Fred Karno's circus that is Mustang delivery coupled with the reports of warranty claims and poor quality is really putting me off this car before I've even got it

It's soured what should have been a great experience

Right, I now give up.

Just been to the Dealers & they can't / won't finalise documents and / or finance because the Vista system states delivery on 7th July.

Yes, 7th July.

Stacey just emailed saying there's no movement with the car in Liverpool.

I'm going cold turkey with Mustangs now. I've done all I can but just hit brick walls. In fact, it's getting worse. 18th to the 25th & now 7th July. It's a joke.

Annoyed isn't the word.
If they won't give you the car before July, just make sure they haven't taxed it in June...giving you 1 month less tax.

That seems to be a thing that some dealers like to do, mine was registered on the 31st May :headbonk: even though I asked them to wait until the 1st June.

I agree with you completely , its a joke I really am tempted to tell them to poke it if I don't have the car by next Wednesday.

I really think you will have your car next week my dealership vista was quoting first weekend in July probably still is forgot to ask what its quoting now does not matter I guess as its there now . I would not pass remarks what vista is quoting . Sounds like you have push them in the right direction though to get your car moving if its not already !

Seems my car is listed to be on the Autostar on Friday to Southampton. Will check again tomorrow. Hopefully Jimboy2 and Dan_G will be too.

Latest email: This vehicle has not yet left Liverpool.
I do not believe you will receive this vehicleby thursday as it takes around a week minimum to deliver.
The dealership then has to pdi your vehicle before you can pick it up.

We were being quoted 12 week delivery from leaving the factory. My car gate released around the middle of January and looked like it could beat the 12 weeks by a fortnight or so, but then took around three weeks to travel the length of England up to Edinburgh. Picked it up on the 9th April.

I've not been keeping up to speed with this thread since my car arrived so apologies if I'm missing the point, but are delivery times getting longer?

Think you missed the point there - Vista said 19th June, then 7th July, then 25th June and yesterday it went from 25th June to 7th July even though we know the cars are in the UK. It took me 3 hours to get from Liverpool to Cheltenham yesterday. It may take a transporter 4. The problem isn't with the travel it's the p*ss poor logistics in between and the hopelessly inaccurate information on Fords systems. I do sympathise with the dealers because they can only go from what the system is telling them. If it changes every week like is has done then they're just made to look like chumps and take the customer's wrath. Maybe that's why they aren't keen to provide regular updates on delivery as they have no confidence in the system either.

I don't understand how nobody knows when a car is going to be put on a transporter.
I just want a date when I know I will be able to collect the car, not oh it may be next week or it could be the week after.

Interesting. Did Stacey tell you that? Have already emailed her this week so don't want to send another one. Last she said to me was that it should be there for 2 weeks before coming over to Southampton
