OMG - just been told after "final checks" there could be a problem with the clutch and they need a Mustang technician to bleed the clutch..

They cannot get one over until at least Tuesday and this is not definite...

Questioning how last minute these checks were done and what about other checks done prior to this not picking it up.

It could be something or nothing apparently.

Gutted does not even come close!

Time to cancel my train ticket then :-(
It sounds a bit fishy to me,

Ford made a big play that the Mustang would only be sold by specialist dealers, and staff be fully trained up, asking someone to travel to bleed a clutch, sounds like a c*ck up by the pdi staff.

I suppose it depends how much it bothers you,
do you kick up a storm and get it sorted sooner, or go with the flow and make sure they get it right (all be it a few days late)
or use it to your advantage and see if you can be compensated in someway, freebee of some sort, tank of fuel/etc

It does smell very fishy - perhaps some free key rings!

No I am not local to the dealer and you are right, how many times has it been driving and checked? A balls up imo - we shall see...

Perhaps the"clutch problem" is that someone's foot slipped off it too quick and bumped something. I'd be very suspicious but perhaps that's just me. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you...

As others have said, this seems very dodgy. Surely the clutch set up is not so high tech as to warrant the services of a so called ' mustang specialist'. I'll be interested to see what transpires when you finally pick it up. Good luck.

Had an email yesterday from Stacey saying the vehicle is currently at the US docks.
9.00am email this morning no update yet.
Bigger gap than usual between vessels.
The next vessel to leave the US is next week.
It was built on the 05/04/16.
I wonder what the chances of being on the next one are ?

Join the club bud.
There's about half dozen of us on here (might be more now) built that week waiting for a ship. Checking every day.

Btw, I emailed this morning too with no reply. Hopefully tomorrow?

Mine was a month from build before it was booked on a boat, it shouldn't be long now.

I think I preferred it when I knew less about the procedure.
Now I am emailing people asking for information, which is most unlike me.
I am also wishing my bloody life away waiting for this car

Well done mate. You're the first of the group then.

I had email from her this morning; I said "car is in Baltimore awaiting a ship, any news?"
She said; "you car is in Baltimore awaiting a ship".

I guess no news then..................... "come on Karen / Stacey, PLEASE pull a few favours for me!!!!, I need a pick-me-up"

Out of interest, has your WWL tracker updated with your VIN number?
