Good point - need to check the state of my undercarriage now the car is home.

Dealer has agreed to rectify any issues if discovered whilst I prep it.

What would you use to remove overspray, prepmeister? Tar & bug solvent? I'm not taking mine back if there's only a minor issue with this.

Has anyone else come over on the Tysla and moved on to Southampton yet?

My car has been at Zeebrugger for two weeks, so hoping to be on-route very soon. Hopefully then on to the dealer for early April pick-up.

Apart from bugging Stacey is there any other way to find out the ship allocation to Southampton?

My car came on the Tysla, but all has gone quiet since. I assume its still in Belgium, but thats just a guess

I asked for an update a couple of days ago. I assume no news means nothing to tell. I havent bothered asking my dealer for obvious reasons

Yes something to do with Thatcham that the car needs otherwise insurance is invalid. Why this happens at Southampton, I'm not sure - just another thing to slow the process down. Never mind, not long now.

Good question. It depends on the composition of the overspray. Not so much of an issue on metal etc but on plastics, solvents are likely to melt or discolour it.

Will test and report back.

The ID of this vehicle can be checked 24/7/365 days per year at http://www.mustangcodecheck.com/ or by calling +44 (0) 7000 111333

So basically if you mislay your Mustang and someone finds it by the side of the road or down the back of the sofa then they can use a website to find your contact details so they can post it back to you. Ooops.

This sticker is important and some Mustang deliveries were actually delayed for this sticker...

The sticker is probably inside the drivers door so that it is not easily visible unless you have access to the vehicle via a key.

If you go to the website and enter a valid code the response says
Etch Code checked :
MUSXXXX
Code Check Result : This is a valid Retainagroup etch code.

Status of vehicle or other item : Not currently recorded as stolen or destroyed.

Yep some vehicles had a 4 week delay over there security stickers. Most are getting them same day, looks like the Baltimore snowstorm did wonders for clearing the bottle necks down the process line. With zeebrugge and Southampton clearing 10 fold

Mr car was on the Tysla, I was told by Karen on Tuesday (22/3) that it should be on the next boat to Southampton! I reckon 2-3 weeks before we actually take delivery!

We've had worse reasons for delays in delivery ;). Like, not having the right parts at a plant. Or, not enough space on a boat. Etc.

A sticker shouldn't come as a surprise ;)
