We don't take it as a knock at all. We do not feel that watching gauges is necessary while you are driving. Function over form has always been our style. Is that to say that at some point in the future we will not update our interface, no. Our business model has always been about being more engrossed in performance before moving on to the more flashy side of things.
I don't watch my gauges..... It's a better piece of hardware because of how is the datalogging is and on the fly map switching and launch control..... And $200 cheaper than yours

I wouldn't say it's flashy, lol I'm talking about Adams constant revisions to make sure everything is up to par, that's why I switched a combination of the 2. Plus when I called and spoke to someone at your shop, they seemed annoyed I was asking questions and when they did answer them, they made me feel like it was a stupid question.

Adam and Livernois seem to be the top tier tuners. I had a different experience talking with Livernois. I did a chat online and they answered all my questions. It was really a tough call for me. Sorry to hear your experience wasn't the same.

I chose adam just from his fan base. Literally hundreds of happy customers that only had amazing things to say about him and his tunes. Personally, I loved the tune i received from him. Made the car just feel like an absolute monster. If you go with Adam, I highly doubt you will have any regrets.

First off, i apologize that you had a negative phone experience. There is no excuse for that at all. The reason that our device does not log is because we do not need logs to build tuning. We own each and every single car (in some cases multiples) that we provide tuning for. So we do not need a starting point from your car to build from. We spend tons of time not just testing our own tunes but factory tunes as well. So there is no reason for us to have you drive unsafely on public roads.

As for revisions, we do offer limitless remote updates at no extra charge. That price difference is often eclipsed after your "free tuning period" ends. We have clients that have had our tuning since 2010 that have our original MyCal or even older DASHDAQ tuner that still get their completely free updates periodically. Our updates are truly free, and are not time limited.

I have over 33,000 miles and 25,000 of those have been with Torrie/Unleashed the other few thousand miles were with BAMA. Torrie's tunes were farther better than BAMA's initial tunes (back in late 14') and his customer service was also a lot better with almost instant responses. I have had 0 issues with the car. All that being said the X4 is garbage and if I was in your shoes starting from scratch I would go with Cobb and Adam's tunes for life.

Exactly what drove me to the Cobb platform, thanks for being honest!

Full disclosure it was between Unleashed, Livernois, and Adam. I honestly think you can't go wrong with any of them. Hence, the difficult decision...

I honestly think you can't go wrong with any of them either.

I have an Unleashed tune by Torrie and I love it. Zero issues. At the moment, all I have is a CAI. Although the stock tune was fun, I noticed 3 minor problems with it; When I floored the accelerator, there was a slight but noticeable hesitation before the engine would start to pull hard, there was also a slight but noticeable lag where the engine would seem to run out of breath before the turbo really kicked in, and the power would level off at about 5500 rpm. After Torrie's tune, all of those problems were gone. The engine responded immediately, the power increased smoothly and powerfully without lag, and, although it may have leveled off somewhat above 5500 rpm, it was still pulling so strong, I actually bumped off the rev limiter a few times waiting for it to level off as it did before. Torrie is incredibly responsive and helpful. There are times when I think he doesn't sleep at all. I bought an SCT X4 because it was $100 cheaper than the Cobb, and it did everything I needed. I think the Cobb AP is a nicer device, but I didn't need the additional features, and the $100 I saved, I used for other mods, like Adam's upgraded Turbosmart waste-gate actuator, :).

As for Adam, I don't think you can find a more knowledgeable or helpful person on this board, or one with more of a presence on here as well. You can't go wrong with him. Plus, he has a great sense of humor, hahaha. If you want the extra features of the Cobb AP, Adam is your tuner.

I've also read a lot of good things about Livernois on this board. They seem to have an in-depth knowledge of the EBM platform as well.

So many good choices - one of the reasons I went with the EBM platform over some others I was considering.

I went with Livernois because I think they are the most familiar with the Ecoboost engine. Been very happy with the product and the service from the company when I need something, and yes they allow free revisions to your tune as you add mods!
