That's a serious load of crap that your car has to physically be there to be considered in the queue for a warranty repair,or any repair. Dealing with other brands and also Ford.I have never heard that. That is dealer-specific bullshite.I wish it wasn't true. For it to "Officially" be in the queue, the car has to be at the dealership. I live close to the dealership and offered to bring it by as soon as I get the call that it's ready to be worked on, but that wouldn't work. He didn't expect the wait time to go down any time soon.
Is it the timing chain cover leak?I have a minor oil leak on a car under factory warranty. I was told that I would need to leave my car for roughly a week to have it looked at.
Is this normal?
Location - Southern California.
Yeah, I ordered the car and bought it from the same dealer...they're probably the best Ford dealer in the area. The service team advisor knows me by name (from earlier work/troubles...), so they know to treat me well ;)did you buy the car at the dealer where you are trying to get warranty work done?
