Type of Racing Suit?

Has anyone bought the 2 pc racing suit thru Shelby? Im going to be doing some track days and wondered if anyone has it and what their thoughts are.
I like it as Im large in the shoulders and chest, but not as large in the waist, so if I get something that fits in the top, the bottom is way too large..so with a 2 pc I can get and xl top and large bottom....
What is your experience?

when I went to track attack, they were all using sparco suits, they arent overpriced like shelby stuff, consider those ones

Some organizations will not allow the use of a two piece suit so just check with who you plan to run with.

I bought a nice Alpinestars suit 11 years ago on closeout when I thought racing would be a good idea. Most reliable thing I've ever taken to the track!

I agree with the general sentiment here. I don't own a suit, but did buy a cheap 1-layer set of pants from one of the racing box box online retailers to slip on over shorts during summer track days. On those same sites you'll find good deals on full suits from the main brands.

Agreed, when I used to race motocross I used their stuff where I could. It is a really good brand and the route I'm going to go again as well.

I have one of these from my racing days. It is good quality for the price and Saferacer has them for $399.

Never owned a race suit but have worn flight suits for many years. I personally prefer the two piece because it is easier to remove and stay cool. Flight suits are very similar to race suits. I will have to check with the Chumpcar rules to see if a two piece is legit for the series. Racing with friends in a Chumpcar this December!!!! So excited.
