Hey,

I picked a brand new MY17 up a couple of weeks ago.

I think both the driver and passenger side front seat belts have got a half-turn in them causing them to feel twisted. If i pull the belt out as if im putting it on making sure its straight from the shoulder, the actual plug part of the belt is on the inside of the belt rather than the outside, meaning i have to flip the belt over before i can plug it in.

Are they all like this? Ford have said to bring it in and they'll take a look, but it's a real inconvenience for me to do this so don't fancy a wasted trip if this is how all Mustang's are?

If the slot in the buckle is big enough fold the belt over on itself in a diagonal manner & slide the buckle over the fold & it ends up on the other side of the belt.

I thought the same thing when I got mine. Use the loops on the side of the seat and it works out.

Just wanted to update this post incase any body else thinks they have the same issue.

I went back to the dealership today and sat in another Mustang, and sadly that was the same so i'm assuming they're all like this. It annoys me every day!

At least I know its not a fault though.

As has been suggested by others on here, im using the loop on the seat now and its mildly more tolerable.

And if it faced the other way it would clonk against the door pillar when not in use and be annoying for that reason

So good to know that I’m not totally losing it here.

The seatbelt is annoying! And yes, using the side clips on the seats help. But, didn’t have that issue with my Ford Escape. Hence it just feels weird...

i still have no idea what you are all on about the seatbelt is fine buckle in the right location doesn't bang on the pillar and the belt is smooth / non twisted both on lap strap and across chest

can one of you give me pictures so i can see if you're all just crazy or you genuinely have defective belts
