I’m on my third S550 and my current one is the only post facelift model I’ve had. On the previous 2, both the driver’s and passenger’s seats had map pockets on the back with a felt type lining inside them.
Today, I decided to check the pockets as it is a favourite place for my kids to mislay their electronic devices.
I checked the passenger seat first and was surprised to feel it was lined with some weird thin foam material that feels like it will break down over time and make a mess of whatever gets left in there.
When I went to check the drivers side I was even more shocked to discover there wasn’t even a pocket there!
Is this normal? Is it another cost cutting exercise, or is it a mistake made during assembly?
My current car is a MY 21
