Great episode. Most action they've had in a while. This is the bloodiest battle in the comics thus far, so not sure how the tv version will top last night's episode...??

What no impressions of 2/21's episode

I was rooting for Rick and Daryl to take the truck of plenty and just haul ass home. But Noooo, they just have to stop for a dumb ass vending machine. Then they fall for the dumb story of "I was just running through".

That kind of stuff lets the writers buy time to prepare another good episode I guess. But I was rooting for them to waste that clown.

They did have a nice ending though. I think everyone realizes that Rick needed to hook up with someone who isn't easy to kill. Well flame on!opcorn:

Glad to see Michonne and Rick finally hook up, it's been long over do. But the whole thing with this Jesus character kinda pisses me off because after all of the fckd up happenings they've gone through, to not put a bullet in his head right after running into the back of Rick just doesn't seem right. And then to get your truck of goodies stolen, your ass kicked, your brother's ass kicked, lose the truck of goodies cause this Jesus fcktard caused it to roll in a pond.....lets tie him up (again because the first time was such a success) and bring him home. Jesus Christ! This episode was one continous dumb fckn decision after another. I would expect better decisions this late in the zombie apocalypse.

While I agree with the assessment that the last episode was a colossal series of errors, the main point of this show is to be entertaining and I thought the episode was fun to watch. There were a few laughing moments, and I think it is what was needed to break the tension of the previous episode. I am not sure how this Jesus dude will pan out, but there is more to the story than what is obvious is my gut feel. I am not a comic reader, so I do not know what he is in the comics but I am intrigued in what he could be (maybe reminds me a bit of Morgan, with his calm zen and martial arts).

So you are picking up on Rick's observations that the condition of his clothes and his appearance suggest a reasonably safe place that he calls his home base. I accept that. I will add that the ease with which he lifted the truck keys from Rick's left front pocket also suggest he has a great deal of experience as a pickpocket and was probably a thief in previous times. addle:

Glenn is supposed to die according to the comic book..but..Abraham was supposed to die last week with the arrow through th eye. That's how he gets it in the comic..gonna get crazy

The show runners of TWD have already stated that it will take a right turn when it comes to the death of Glenn. I don't think we will see it. My guess has always been Daryl, Carol, or Maggie.

Although Carl picked up the gun with lucille engraved into the handle, maybe they are foreshadowing his death?

It will not be 100% to the comic, and Daryl dying is a high possibility since he has no storyline to follow. Combine that with his new reality show coming out maybe no need for him now.

Overall I thought this episode kind of lost it. There was no way that Carol could have even had a pistol sewn in there and use in in the way that she did let alone what seemed to be a sub-machine gun. A for cool thought and effect. F- for even being remotely possible. There is no way that either Michonne or Daryl would be caught by surprise like that, I mean they were out there in hostile territory where the enemy literally walked up on them previously, and they are having casual conversations with their guard totally being down. Daryl is injured by definitely not dead. Love the show, but they are struggling a little bit with stretching possibilities to put the key players in some sort of danger.

At the beginning of the season "citizens of Alexandria" that were introduced earlier in the episode were getting killed by stealth ninja walkers, while all the others make snarling and growling sounds from 100yds out. Now an experienced woodsman and tracker is caught by surprise by two armed men who walk within 4 ft of them. I have spent a reasonable amount of time hunting in the woods, when you are sneaking around you can hear a person who is also sneaking from a fair distance away. Literally impossible to sneak through the woods and not make a sound like that.

Anyhow, the episode did have high points, some of the conversation between Rick and Morgan needed to happen. Rick has definitely changed to only a shadow of his former, honorable self. Now much more of an assassin.

Agree with what most of you have said, I think the show runners will try to pull a surprise with the appearance of Negan, will be interesting to see how it will play out. There has not been a good villain since the Governor, and Negan seems to be more calculating and less crazy maniac.

there needs to be a real purge of characters.

they hyped up the mid season premier so much with crap like " NO ONE IS SAFE" "MOST DEATHS IN AN EPISODE EVER" "SO MANY MAIN CHARACTERS DIE TONIGHT"

turns out it was what...3 to 4 unimportant characters that we knew for only a month.
