any recommendations for a tuner (preferably in SFL) that will actually answer a phone and answer questions?

I reached out to Steeda and they basically told me they couldn't help me with my C&L Street CAI. To return it, and purchase one of theirs so that they can Tune the car.

Lund and sai li as well
I tried a bunch of times to call lund but goes straight to a message which tells you to email them. That was during working hours at different times on different days.

That's really odd. They do my tuning and even replied this morning to a question.

Try emailing them. They are quick to get back to you. I don't ever call them so can't vouch for that.

If you're in florida want local try ken or sai li. All great choices.

Can you recommend any tune shops in the Miami area that can work with my C&L Street CAI? I did not purchase the tuner, just the CAI.

I'd say any of the previous I mentioned would do it. They would all be remote for you though:(

Steeda someone always answers the phone each time I have called, but whoever has answered has not been able to answer any tune questions. One person i spoke to told me they only have one tuner and he's in ga. they fwd me but then they say he's not answering the phone, so I leave a message then I get an email response but no call back. Once somebody called back but didn't leave any voicemail (my mailbox is not full) so maybe that was a call back. I know everyone is busy and email appears to be the preferred method, but sometimes a quick conversation can save a bunch of back and forth emails.

Can you use the sct X4 to load their tunes? I always see ngauge mentioned with lund tunes and I have a sctx4 that came with my intake and tune package.

It all comes down to the shifting on my auto. I have the way it drives for City driving from day one. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, I believe it functions as intended but it feels like it's always in ”economy mode". That combined with the relatively low amount of low end power makes the car feel slow, which it's not. If the car would just stay in a lower gear, shift at higher rpms, not go into 6th until a higher speed. That and some actual throttle response would change the way I feel about driving this car.

I actually like the way it drives in S mode, but the engine braking gets old fast. I wanted to know if that can be disabled.

The tune I got with the intake feels like it makes more power, but the car still drops into to high of a gear to soon for my taste at anything less than full throttle in D mode.

I have the same issues with my auto so you are not the only one. I was hoping a Tune would solve that. Which CAI do you have and which Tune did you go for? If you find a good solution, please let me know.

I got the steeda power pack which includes their tune and an sctx4 tuner. I'm not sure exactly how much customization they include with the package although it says it includes lifetime updates with some exclusions.

Definitely makes more power, just hasn't overcome the inherit "flaws" of the automatic transmission.

If i find anything out I'll post here.

Sure would be nice to have my 400+ hp car drive better in traffic than my 99 Cherokee did lol

That is true, there are certain CAIs we won't tune because of the inconsistencies we have experienced when writing tunes for those specific CAIs.

If you are in the Miami area, that may be a different story, they may have the ability to do the C&L with a dyno tune - I will ask the question.

There is a little customization we can offer through data logging but generally speaking, the tune you receive via email tune is going to offer you the best performance & driveability out of the box and not much more is available on top of that.

Thank you,
