Don't know about where you are but here it's one hour of labor which is less than half of what the flare tool costs.

Dealer can't do it, only the Whipple flare tool. Car won't run until you correct it also. What gears do you want to change to? Your current 3.15's are already a great all around gear and a gear change won't do diddly.

Your output shaft speed and wheel speed sensors will have a conflict . Buying the flare tool is cheaper and less troublesome to me than dealing with a tow truck and dealership . You can always resale your "used on time" tool when you are finished .

Yes, I was told they charge one hour of labor for this.

how is it a scam? it reprograms the bcm for the correct ratio.

VIN is locked and you can't pay for it to be unlocked either. It is a great product!!

i got the flare tool. my tuner said he wants to retune for the gear change also.
