Bama only affects D mode. I emailed them when I heard Unleashed tune ran on all modes and they responded that once you leave basic D the tune is no longer in effect.

That's one tune I haven't heard anything about in a few months now. Does it feel that way to you since you're running it now?

MAP's custom tune is free if you purchase the Accessport from them. If you already have one, it'll cost you.
I was under the impression that when you order it from them the first custom tune is free with the accessport but in order to get ongoing tuning that he will adjust for your mods you will have to pay the additional fee.

Maps ots tune is free with the accessport purchase from them. If you want a better tune it is $250

Cool story I'm a financial analyst. What I was trying to say is SCT does not appear to be as well suited to the mustang EB ECU as the other tuners on the market and was better on older platforms. I've been following the forum since before the cars started being delivered and I've seen a trend of ppl with the SCT having issues that others do not and relying on increasing boost where others do not. Just an observation though.

Can you specify which tune you believe is not effecting all drive modes?

What does it matter if the different maps are different tunes if you know what each of them is for? The point is that you don't have to pay for each individual one. The $250 is a one time fee
Others already answered your questions....

Where have you read about these issues with SCT? Can you please point to exact websites or posts? I searched for weeks and asked all types of questions and never heard this.

I am interested to read this info.

I am not an expert and still learning myself... More info the better.

with the Cobb AP and all other tuning options I've read about Driving modes and S vs D only effect shift points, throttle response, steering feel, stability control... Nothing on the engines tune. If you have a tuning system that only works in D... Imagine you car is heavily modded, turbo swap, additional injectors, with a tune that only works in D and accidentally change to S... The results could be catastrophic.

Yeah it is definitely only running the tune in basic D. Was happy with tune until I got to see some other Eco's running different tunes. I feel like the Bama tune is just a little more boost and firmer shifting.

Bama seems to be one of the more conservative tuning companies out there for the ecoboost mustang. For the NA cars I believe they do a good job but compared to others who tune the EBM they are behind.

Here is one thread. The comments are scattered on various threads but there are several ppl with the same issue here and in post #31 Adam even says it appears to be an issue with SCT

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24327&highlight=Overboost

I've also seen issues with SCT on the other S550 models. The GTs were having problems with torque management and SCT still hasn't finished their tuning for the V6 which I think they're working on

I've seen issues with SCT customer support and ppl being stuck on aftermarket tunes unable to return to stock too lol. I'm not attacking any particular tuner. I just don't think the SCT is the best choice. It is well established from previous generations though

I would need to see more... Sounds more like a steeds tune issue, if not hardware.

Adam tunes for cobb... Lol

Think I will put this to rest... you seem to be emotionally controlled by this topic for some reason based on your comments in thread.

I will wait for others post on the subject, if anyone had info.

lol dude I don't know what your personal issue is with me. Im just offering my input on the subjects. Based on your posts I would say you seem to not follow the forum very much. I warn you of potential issues with a device/software and you basically took it personally. Like I said I've been on here for a quite a while now and there are other ppl who share my opinion.

I would trust the Cobb AP which seems like it was really programmed from the ground up to work with this car or the LMS tuner because they have extensive experience with the is platform and close relationship with ford before I went SCT.

Hey Eco. I believe that you said that the Livernois tune effects all drive modes. Are the shift points raised in D mode? How firm are the shifts? The reason I am asking is I am curious how different the tune is from unleashed.

Yes the shift points are moved in D to keep you in the powerband with the LMS tune. It does shift much firmer than stock. It's not super hard shifting but you can definitely feel it shift whereas when stock it was like it was waiting too long to shift and it made it feel slower because power was already starting to die down by the time it shifted. Does unleashed also change shift points?

Not really. It mainly firms the shifts up.
