Took my car to Ford for the broken halfshaft, car was at ford all week waiting on the part. I told them I had a tune. Car runs fine. Haven't had a chance to really get on it because of the weather but I wanna know if my Tuner would be able to know if ford reset my tune or tampered with it? Just a little paranoid I guess but I hate leaving my car at a place for a long period of time. I strongly doubt they did anything to it but now I'm super paranoid after breaking a halfshaft on a streettire . Thanks

Maybe your tuner could tell if he is able to pull a copy of the tune off the car when you get it back from ford. Idk, but I was interested in knowing how many miles and if you had any suspension mods when you broke a half shaft. I only did a burnout one time at the dealer when I got the car. After hearing all the stories with the stock halfshafts I'm just taking it easy till I get upgraded halfshafts.

BMR cradle and links. Wheel hopped in 2nd then boom. I'm not going back to the track until I get some halfshafts. I bought the BMR parts to stop the hop. It didn't help at all on the track. On the street helped a little

What tuner are you using? On an X4 you can always return to stock and reload your tune to make sure.

Yeah x4 ok thanks. I'm gonna have my Tuner do it for me. I've never even touched used it before. Nope ford said your own your own. Friend of mine works up there so I paid little to nothing. Saving for some DSS 800 hp halfshafts next

I'm shocked they didn't give you crap for the tune. I would have thought they would deny warranty work because of it

Yeah they did but a friend of mine works up there. It was 588 to install and the part. I just paid for the part. I figured I'd tell them the car had a tune plus I'd figured once the got the car in the air, looked at the headers and the BMR stuff they would've stamped nodded on my receipt. I didn't want them to plug anything into the computer and mess with my tune. I don't see y they would have to plug anything into the cpu. No check engine light came on.

You'll know as soon as you start it up based on your headers comment (assuming it has CAI as well). Highly unlikely for them to over write your tune (money out of their pocket).

Yeah cold air tune headers. Oh ok. I haven't been able to get on because of the rain but it feels normal. Normal driving
