I've looked around and didn't find answer:

I have a 2015 GT PP. Since new when car is cold, the thottle response is very "jerky". This only last a few minutes, once head temp is 180F its as smooth as glass.
I know many other people say the same.

My question is for those of you that have/had this same condition and then tuned, did the tune help and/or eliminate this?
If so what tune?

Thank you.

Edit: I'm not looking to tune to JUST add power, cars plenty fast in stock form, but if the tune will help with this I'm going this route.

I also drove three other GTs last week. Two 6sps, one auto. Both manuals had the same " condition". The Auto didn't. I found that interesting.

I've heard the canned tune on the SCT device gets rid of the jerkyness before full operating temp.

I've heard reports that custom tunes from the big name tuners on here did not stop the jerkyness before full operating temp.

None of my LSX cars did this. Nor did my 4.6 PI Mustang. Infact, no other performance car I've owned or driven was jerky until warmed up. Only this 2015 Mustang. The 2014 GT I test drove wasn't jerky either.

Maybe the 2016 OS/strategy fixed this? I'll find out when I get mine updated to that latest OS.

I have had some similar experiences. With the SCT canned tune I noticed no cold running issues. I switched to a Lund tune and sometimes when the car is cold when I first go to pull away it will have a slight misfire but as soon as I rev it or pull into the higher rpms it will go away and not happen again once warmed up. Almost like its a bit too rich when cold. Unfortunately I haven't datalogged it to try and see what is going on and have Lund possibly tweak the tune. Main reason is that it is very subtle and goes away almost immediately once I have driven the car for a few minutes. No codes for misfire so far and it doesn't happen all the time for me. I am curious to see if it gets worse as the weather gets colder and colder. I also had just changed to a Mak cat delete pipe setup when this started as well. (I got the Lund tune because I was going catless) I ended up putting 3 inch high flow cats on it afterward but the problem has not gone away. Mine is very minor, I have seen Evos have much worse cold running issues until warmed up. (way too rich at cold idle) Hopefully it can be tuned out once the data logs are done. Good luck with your issue!

I mean I experience this, but I just wait it out (typically 3 mins) before it goes away. I don't feel that it's wise to operate the car so heavily under cold conditions due to the long term engine wear.

I don't think anybody is driving "heavily" when this happens. It is usually when I am pulling away in 1st gear at light throttle. I always let the car sit running for about a minute before I pull away and use light throttle till the car warms up some. I mentioned that it clears up after revving it a bit but that is under little to no load and by no means anywhere near the rev limit. Sorry if I made that unclear by saying "higher rpms", I really meant 2k-3k. These vehicles are made to be driven even when cold, just not smart to drive them hard until warmed up. Synthetic 5w20 flows very well even when cold.
