Try before you buy?

After countless hours of reading and watching videos I still cant decide what FI system to go with. I keep seeing the try before you buy advice. I'm leaning towards either a sleeper turbo kit or a pro-charger. Anyone within a couple hours of Columbus OH that would be willing to take me for a ride along? I can meet up anytime on the weekends.
