Has anyone else’s trunk struts started to fail?

Mine will still hold the trunk open all the way; but when I start to lower the trunk, I can tell that the struts no longer provide slow resistance as you close the trunk. When it reaches a certain point (not even half way down), the trunk will just free fall if I don’t hold it up and let it down slowly.

Luckily, replacements aren’t very expensive.

Merry Christmas to all.

Do you have a part # mine are starting to get weak themselves.
Sorry I don’t have a part number. I’ve searched for the OEM ones but can’t find them.

Amazon has aftermarket struts for around $25.00 or so. I’m hoping they’re good quality.
