The thing that gets me is the switch from premium to base. It may be better than previous years but it still looks pretty bad honestly. Aside from what was mentioned above you also lose puddle lights, rear diffuser, and mirror turn signals. The loss of toggles and screen is what would hurt the most.

I'm actually fine with the base interior. Would have liked the bigger screen but thinking I will put a aftermarket radio in anyway. I hate climate control and the laggy interface of myford touch. I actually prefer the buttons on the base system. I would like the toggle switches though on the premium system...

No need for 6 pot brembos other than looks. If you want better brakes buy a set of 4 pot stoptechs. Honestly tires will make a larger difference in your braking then calipers will, and for resistance to fade you just need a high temp fluid.

Personally I would upgrade to a GT before I do a big turbo. That's just me. I would still mod a GT though too lol.

This is blasphemy, but if you want speed and a similar cost with brembos stock, get the 2016 camaro ss. Same weight as the mustang, 455 hp and 455 tq stock. Dont see how it wouldnt be faster.
Now that's going to the dark side;-)

People can preach turbos all day long, but you have to babysit them and constantly with tweaks and monitor to ensure you dont grenade that little motor. Just my 2 cents, but living without turbo lag is amazing!

Drive the GT again and go from there.

I drove the GT again to get it out of my head. In my opinion it's slow compared to my EB.

If I bought one, is have to get it tuned, exhaust and intake and see where it stands.

I have other Mustangs with 4.6 and Coyote....my EB is the best stang I've owned thus far
I've also had a 93 notch drag car, 2001 Cobra, and 1968 Mustang (first car)
Love turbo 4's, always have
The EB aftermarket and following is in its infant stage - hang in there

It will be at least a year or two to really feel out and see what this platform can do, no one should jump this early.

Yep I told myself if I got a 5.0 again I would only do exhaust and wheels but we all know that's not possible. Mustangs are like blank canvases in my eyes I can't stop modding them.

IMO the only reason to get the gt would be the sound. The Eco is perfectly capable of the speed. The Eco pp brakes look
Plenty big for me.People comment how big they are all the time. If those are your reasons forget what I said earlier and keep the Eco.

Didn't you know what you were getting when you purchased it? If money wasn't holding you back and it was good then, it should be even better now with the mods you've already made. If it's just about "more" , then you'll be chasing that year after year regardless of what you decide.

I base my opinion on two factors. Total cost and whether the car is used as a daily or weekend car only.

Since you mention $...you have a lot of $ wrapped up in yours already. Another $4k for a turbo kit I would imagine would be AT LEAST the amount of depreciation you'll see on your trade in and the loss you'll take on your parts.

If you use it as a daily, w/ a turbo kit, you'll make as much if not more power than a stock GT, w/ better mpgs. Because of the flexibility of a turbo, you can have many variables customized to meet your driving style, as well. Better mpgs, cheaper to operate, pretty unique at this point. Since sound isn't a determining factor for you (which I think is a bit juvenile to base a car purchase on anyhow), the only major downside to this choice is if the desire to mod gets out of hand...seems a whole lotta money could be spent on this engine to achieve supercharged GT power...which leads to...

If only used on the weekends, and you want 450+ rwhp reliably and relatively inexpensively, GT hands down. Hit on gas mileage, but weekend/limited use is no big deal. If you want big power down the road, it's possible simply by bolting on a blower. As a daily though, these power levels are useless on anything other than a drag radial, so to actually use the power, expect a decent budget for tires.

These are just quick ramblings...I'm sure there are more considerations if I thought a bit more about it.
